There is / There are

My house is very big: There are two bedrooms. There is a living room and a dining room and there are two bathrooms.

Is there a supermarket in your town?

• Yes, there is.
• No, there isn't.

There aren't any malls in my village.

We use there is with nouns in singular: 

There is a museum.

We use there are with nouns in plural: 

There are some supermarkets.

We use [there is / there are] to say that something exists.

Uso de THERE IS y THERE ARE 
En Inglés, se usa THERE IS con sustantivos en singular y THERE ARE con sustantivos en plural.
Los ejemplos que tenemos en español se quedarían así: 
Mi casa es muy grande. Hay dos dormitorios, hay un salón y un comedor y hay dos cuartos de baño.
¿Hay un supermercado en tu barrio? Sí hay. /  No hay.

En español usamos el verbo haber en 3ª persona [hay] para indicar que algo existe y es el mismo tanto para singular como para plural.

There, we can find information about our town or city, our country, our history, our TV series or our favourite singer. 

Can you find a brief biography of these two singers?

When you have it, make a poster with this information.

You can also get pictures from them and any kind of objects in GOOGLE IMAGES or FLICKR.
